Rengo's Concept of Sustainability
Based on our key concept for packaging manufacturing and environmental management, "Less is more." we strive to address social issues and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society while tackling new fields starting from packaging.
Key Concept of Packaging Manufacturing and Environmental Management
Less is more.
-
“Less energy consumption”
-
“Less carbon emissions”
-
“High quality products
with more value-added”
"Less is more." is the key concept for the Rengo Group's packaging manufacturing, and is also a key concept for environmental management. This is the ideal that the Rengo Group seeks through all of our business activities in fulfilling our social responsibility as a company toward contributing to the development of a better and sustainable society through the production of high-quality and high value-added packaging while effectively using resources and reducing impact on the global environment.
Philosophy Supporting Vision120
To continue providing new and value even in the future of 2050, we position the five-year period leading up to our 120th anniversary in fiscal year ending March 2030 as a time to solidify our foundation. As such, we have formulated our medium-term vision, Vision120, which aims to establish a stronger value creation foundation.
This vision is based on the fundamental philosophy of a human-capital approach in people-centric management at the core of our framework. While consistently leading the industry in environmental management, we aim to provide comprehensive solutions for all packaging needs, support global logistics and people's lives, and create a bright future.
Materiality and Initiatives
Rengo has identified key issues addressed by the Rengo Group as materiality. We disclosed this information in June 2023 to clearly communicate our strategy and its significance to stakeholders. Furthermore, in response to changes in the management environment and social demands, we revised the materiality in March 2025.
The revised materiality defines four areas for the Group: 1) Creating New Value as a "Packaging Provider," 2) Coexisting with the Global Environment, 3) People-Centric Management, and 4) Strengthening the Management Base for Sustainable Growth. It also defines 14 initiative themes and medium-term targets for achieving goals in these four areas.
Materiality and Key Initiatives

These principles are deeply aligned with the philosophy of the SDGs, and we respect and implement them throughout all aspects of our business activities.
In addition, to promote highly transparent management, we actively engage in information disclosure in accordance with international frameworks and guidelines.
