Past Initiatives
The Rengo Group has expanded its packaging solutions network overseas. Overseas expansion began in earnest in the latter half of the 1980s. At that time, the Group established corrugated packaging supply networks based on a basic policy of partnering with major international companies in Southeast Asia, targeting five countries where Japanese companies were actively expanding operations: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. In addition, in the field of heavy duty corrugated packaging, the Group has expanded its business through Tri-Wall Limited, which became a group company in 2016, operating in Asia, Europe, the United States, and Mexico.
Outlook
In response to the growth of global logistics demand, the Group will expand its presence in the heavy duty packaging field. In addition to strengthening operations in existing regions, the Group will actively enter emerging markets. By expanding business in the Global South, including India, as well as in North America, the Group aims to strengthen competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth and improved profitability.
