The supply of user-oriented products is supported by Rengo's paperboard business which serve as the source of raw materials for packaging. As a manufacturer of top-class paperboard, we are engaged in production and sales of a wide range of products covering everything from containerboard such as linerboard and corrugating medium, to boxboard, tube board, chipboard, and processed paper.

Past Initiatives
Rengo established the Yodogawa Plant in 1936 and the Tonegawa Paper Mill in 1961. Subsequently, through the merger with Fukui Chemical Industry in 1991 and the merger with Settsu in 1999, the Company established its current structure of four directly operated mills in Japan. In addition, the Company has three domestic group companies, Marusan Paper Mfg., Taiko Paper Mfg., and Osaka Paper, and ranks among the top producers in Japan of paperboard used as packaging materials. Overseas, the Company operates in mainland China, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
In addition to ensuring a stable supply, the Company is advancing the widespread adoption of an RFID-based containerboard management system and standardization in logistics operations.

Outlook
To achieve coexistence with the global environment, the Company is advancing fuel conversion from coal and heavy oil boilers and installing new biomass boilers in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, the Digitalization Promotion Department established within the Paperboard Business Unit will take the lead in initiatives focused on quality control through digital transformation (DX), improvement of the working environment, and solutions to logistics challenges.
