Past Initiatives
Nihon Matai Co., Ltd., the core company of the heavy duty packaging segment, became a group company of Rengo in 2009. In addition to flexible container bags and heavy duty polyethylene bags, which hold the No. 1 share in the industry, the Company also develops kraft paper bags and other products. While demand is expected to decline over the medium-to long-term in certain fields such as agricultural applications, demand is expanding in high-value-added fields such as semiconductor-related applications and products with low environmental impact, creating new market opportunities.
