Supporting the NIPR Open House 2026 with custom-made "Petit-Dan” (Mini Corrugated Boxes) modeled on the corrugated packaging used to transport supplies for the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition
Social ContributionOctober 9, 2026
The NIPR Open House 2026 was held at the National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) on October 3, 2026. Rengo was commissioned to produce a limited edition novelty "Petit-Dan," which was distributed to all the visitors, thereby supporting the event.

(Right) "Petit-Dan"
The "Petit-Dan" is a miniature version of the corrugated packaging provided by Rengo to Japanese Antarctic Research Expeditions and used in its actual research activities. We reproduced the corrugated packaging design used until 2022, prior to the introduction of the current design. That previous design was familiar not only to expedition members but also to many people who have followed the Antarctic Research Expeditions. Since the actual corrugated packaging is not available for general sale and is also highly popular among fans of Antarctica, the "Petit-Dan" boxes were well-received by visitors on the day, with many of them expressing their wish to have one.

Rengo will continue to support Japanese Antarctic Research Expeditions and various other activities through our corrugated packaging products.
