Rengo Presents Rengo Award for Excellence in Zero Carbon and Future Building to Environment CFOs at the Zero Carbon Challenge Cup 2026

Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that it has been sponsoring the Zero Carbon Challenge Cup since 2019 and presenting the Rengo Award for Excellence in Zero Carbon and Future Building annually to support the environmental activities of the next generation. This year, the award was presented to the Environment CFOs of Hokuei-cho, Tottori Prefecture.
The Hokuei-cho Environment CFO program is open to applicants of all ages. Primarily targeting students, it appoints self-nominated individuals as "Environment CFOs (Chief Future Officers)," who take the initiative in addressing local environmental issues. The selected CFOs conduct their own research, develop proposals, and implement solutions, working in collaboration with the local community to advance activities aimed at realizing a decarbonized society.
In their capacity as Hokuei-cho Environment CFOs, the younger generation's willingness to think for themselves about how to improve the town's future and take action embodies the very spirit of the award's purpose to lead to "future-building initiatives." Rengo has evaluated the Environment CFOs highly in this respect and selected them for the Rengo Award for Excellence in Zero Carbon and Future Building.

The corrugated board trophy presented as a supplementary prize was specially designed by Rengo's Design and Marketing Center and engineered and manufactured by Rengo's Packaging Technical Department . The design features motifs of wind turbines—a symbol of Hokuei-cho—and the abundant ocean.
Rengo will continue to support the creativity and initiative of the younger generation as they take on the challenge of realizing a decarbonized society, thereby contributing to the building of sustainable future.
