Recycling of PET Bottle Caps and Pull Tabs at the Eniwa Plant

Social Contribution

July 1, 2025

Since January 2017, the Eniwa Plant has been conducting recycling activities for PET bottle caps and pull tabs discarded within the plant.

The initiative began after discussions among plant members about social contribution activities that could be carried out sustainably and without excessive burden. Three collection boxes were installed inside the plant to start the activity.

The collected PET bottle caps and pull tabs are gathered once a month and donated to the Eniwa Council of Social Welfare. Although the monthly collection volume is approximately one kilogram, over time since 2017, it has reached around 0.1 tons.

The collected PET bottle caps and pull tabs are recycled, and the proceeds are used to fund community welfare programs such as the purchase of wheelchairs. Through this initiative, the Eniwa Plant continues to contribute to resource circulation through recycling and to local social welfare activities, further strengthening its connection with the local community.
