Rengo Subsidiary Howa Sangyo Acquires Yashio Chemical

Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that its consolidated subsidiary, Howa Sangyo Co., Ltd., has acquired 100% of the issued shares of Yashio Chemical Co., Ltd., making Yashio Chemical a wholly owned subsidiary.
Headquartered in Moriya-shi, Ibaraki, Yashio Chemical is a manufacturer of flexible packaging, and has a related company, YASHIO (THAILAND) CO., LTD, in Thailand as a manufacturing base. Howa Sangyo has developed its flexible packaging business through its partnership with Yashio Chemical, including outsourcing gravure printing and lamination processes in both Japan and Thailand.
Following the acquisition, Howa Sangyo will further strengthen collaboration with Yashio Chemical and accelerate the expansion of its flexible packaging business in Japan and overseas.
