Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that the company has won a Bronze Award in the “Functional Beverages” section of the Beverages Category at the Pentawards 2016 worldwide packaging design competition.
The Pentawards is said to be the world's most prestigious competition for all aspects of packaging design. Since 2007, it has been held annually to recognize outstanding packaging designs from around the world. This year, the awards ceremony was held on September 23 in Shanghai, China. This is the fifth time Rengo has received an award.
This year, Rengo's winning design was for Tiotamin-D2 manufactured by Nissin Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koka-shi, Shiga; President: Masato Okita). In a market filled with energy drinks for businessmen and energy drinks styled as beauty products for women, Rengo decided to set Tiotamin-D2 apart as a product for children and the elderly. This was achieved through the design featuring energetic children at play and active elderly people enjoying hobbies . To encourage regular consumption of the product, there are four different label designs, so that people will look forward to discovering them all.
