    Rengo Invests in Sanyo Jidosha Unso

    Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that it recently acquired 51% of the shares issued by Sanyo Jidosha Unso Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukushima-ku, Osaka; President: Akihito Tani) from Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukushima-ku, Osaka; President: Takaoki Fujiwara).  As a result of the acquisition, Sanyo Jidosha Unso is now a subsidiary of Rengo.

    Sanyo Jidosha Unso is a transportation company that focuses on the special mixed-load transportation business and possesses logistics expertise that differs from Rengo Group's existing logistics businesses.  Rengo will send officers to Sanyo Jidosha Unso and conduct joint management with Hanshin Electric Railway to utilize Sanyo Jidosha Unso's know-how in enhancing the Rengo Group's comprehensive capabilities beyond their focus on packaging.
