Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Rengo and SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (a subsidiary of The Siam Cement Public Company Ltd.), has completed the acquisition of a 25% stake from an individual shareholder in Dyna Packs Co., Ltd. and Orient Containers Co., Ltd., both corrugated packaging subsidiaries of Thai Containers Group located in Samut Sakhon Province. Through this acquisition, both companies have been made wholly-owned subsidiaries of Thai Containers Group.

The corrugated packaging business in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, is an important strategic focus for the overseas operations of the Rengo Group as a “General Packaging Industry” (GPI) that positions overseas operations as one of its core businesses. Rengo will work to further enhance its supply system within the region.
