    Rengo to Revise Cellophane Price

Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that it will revise the price of its cellophane.
Cellophane, a transparent film derived from wood pulp, is used in packaging for pharmaceuticals and other applications due to its ease of tearing by hand and good transparency.
Although Rengo makes every effort toward the stable supply of cellophane with a constant quality, capital expenditure for environmental measures—including CO2 reduction—and expenses for dealing with equipment deterioration are increasing every year and putting pressure on the profits of the cellophane business.
Despite Rengo's efforts to maintain pricing through the streamlining and labor-saving of equipment and thorough cost reduction, the situation is now such that it is impossible for Rengo to keep prices at the same level through its own efforts alone.
For these reasons, Rengo will be revising the price of its cellophane as set out below to continue its cellophane business as well as to continue to maintain and improve the quality of cellophane and achieve its stable supply.

Applicable products All general cellophane and milky-white cellophane products
Range of price revision 2,000 yen per ream (when converted to general cellophane #300)
Effective date From delivery on September 1, 2021
