Rengo Subsidiary Settsu Carton Co., Ltd. Removes Shinshiro Plant Corrugator

Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that its consolidated subsidiary, Settsu Carton Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Itami-shi, Hyogo Prefecture, President: Toshio Niwa), has decided to remove the corrugator from its Shinshiro Plant (Shinshiro-shi, Aichi Prefecture) and revamp the plant as a converting plant.

The Settsu Carton Shinshiro Plant was established in 1987 as Tokaishiko Co., Ltd. and became directly operated plant through a merger in October 2000. The company has been involved in manufacturing and sales of corrugated boards and boxes.

This revamp will involve stopping and removing the corrugator, which had deteriorated with age, so that the plant will only have converting capabilities. It will therefore become a specialized converting plant.

The aim of this revamp is to optimize the corrugated boards production and supply system for our group in the Chubu region as well as further boosting its corrugated packaging business by more rapidly responding to user needs and making further improvements to quality.
