    Rengo Receives Certification as an “Eruboshi” Company in accordance with the Women's Empowerment Act

    Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that it has received “Eruboshi” certification (Level 3) from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for complying with standards as a general business enterprise in accordance with the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace (Women's Empowerment Act).
    This certification can be acquired by companies that satisfy certain requirements including excellence in formulation of an action plan for empowering women in accordance with the Women's Empowerment Act, publishing of information on women's empowerment within the company, and the good status of implementation of measures for women's empowerment.
    In April 2014, Rengo established the Section for the Promotion of Women Employees and set about creating a corporate culture and developing an environment where women are able to maximize their potential, and it received “Eruboshi” certification (Level 2) in May 2016. In recent years, Rengo has been focusing on encouraging the employment of women and expanding their areas of responsibility, and it received the higher ranking evaluation (Level 3) due to these efforts.
    Going forward, Rengo will work to increase the ratio of female employees throughout the company and further improve their motivation and competency. Furthermore, in order to create workplaces where people can thrive irrespective of gender, Rengo will also work to foster and entrench a culture where male employees can easily access childcare leave.
