Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that it has codeveloped a vase made entirely of paper that can be folded and recycled after enjoying flowers, with Matsuura Orchid and Nagoya Mould Co., Ltd.
The paper vases under the name "e-pot" will be available from the middle of March so that gardening stores and florists nationwide can use them.
Making vases from corrugated board reduces their weight making them less of a burden to carry. After use, the paper vases can be folded and collected for recycling as used paper.
The base of orchids or other plants are held by a pulp mold that is inside the vase and the inside of the vase is waterproofed to prevent water leakage. Rengo's digital pre-printing allows a luxurious, marble-like design. This paper vase has excellent aesthetic qualities for appreciating flowers and is easy to clean up after use.
Going forward, Rengo will continue to develop various applications for corrugated board.
