Rengo Subsidiary Sanko to Construct New Plant and Relocate Head Office
Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that its consolidated subsidiary Sanko Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokushima-shi, Tokushima; President: Tetsukuni Kaneda) has decided to construct a new plant at Awa-shi, Tokushima and to relocate its head office.
Sanko considered renovation for the purpose of expanding its production capabilities, but the premises of the current plant is limited, and more residences are being built in its neighborhood. Sanko therefore decided to build a new plant on a substitute site owned by the company, and relocate there. The new plant is planned to be completed in April 2021, and production at the current plant will cease after the new plant commences operation. The subsequent use of the current plant has yet to be decided.
The relocation to the new plant will allow Rengo to respond even more promptly to the needs of its customers and further increase quality, and at the same time, strengthen collaboration between Group companies in the vicinity, including Rengo's directly managed plants, so as to further enhance the Rengo Group's corrugated packaging business in the Shikoku region.
