Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that its consolidated subsidiary Tri-Wall Limited (Head Office: Hong Kong; Chairman: Yuji Suzuki) has acquired a 95.02% stake in Welsh Boxes and Engineering (Holding Company) Limited, the parent company of Welsh Boxes and Engineering Company Limited (both companies will be referred to hereafter as “Welsh Boxes”), through Tri-Wall's wholly-owned subsidiary. Welsh Boxes is a manufacturer of heavy duty packaging materials in Wales, United Kingdom.

Welsh Boxes has its head office and plant in Swansea (Wales, United Kingdom). It manufactures and sells a range of products, including heavy duty and general purpose corrugated boxes, and timber packaging. It also sells miscellaneous packaging materials.

Rengo carries out its packaging materials business related to heavy duty corrugated packaging mainly in Asia and Europe through the Tri-Wall Group. Up till now, Tri-Wall Europe Limited has been manufacturing and selling heavy duty corrugated board and boxes in the United Kingdom.

By adding Welsh Boxes as a new converting plant, Rengo hopes to strengthen its supply system in the United Kingdom and Europe so as to meet an even wider range of packaging needs, and at the same time further expand its business.
