Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that its overseas affiliated company, Prepack Thailand Co., Ltd. (“Prepack”) has opened a new flexible packaging factory in Sinsakhon Printing City & Industrial Estate in Samutsakhon Province, Thailand.

As one of the key flexible packaging companies under TC Flexible Packaging Co., Ltd. (“TCFP”), a joint venture company established in Thailand, Prepack manufactures and supplies flexible packaging to food and consumer products industries. The new factory in Sinsakhon is equipped with the state-of-the-art machinery and provides an ideal environment for the production of flexible packaging, and thus is capable of meeting growing demand for flexible packaging in the region.

This investment in Sinsakhon is an initiative which follows the acquisition of Tin Thanh Packing Joint Stock Company (“BATICO”) last year.
Moving forward, Rengo aims to leverage its extensive flexible packaging expertise through TCFP to strengthen the business in Southeast Asia, which is expected to see continued high growth in demand, and to bolster its supply structure to meet the various packaging needs of the region.
