Rengo Invests in Kato Corrugated Paper Co., Ltd.
Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that it has acquired a 60% stake in Kato Corrugated Paper Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Katsushika-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Toshio Kato), and that it has become a subsidiary of Rengo.
Kato Corrugated Paper is a corrugated packaging manufacturer with a total of four production bases, in Noda-shi, Chiba Prefecture; Iwaki-shi and Iwase-gun in Fukushima Prefecture; and Kamakura-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Following this, Rengo will dispatch officers to Kato Corrugated Paper and plan to increase the competitiveness of their corrugated packaging business, along with creating more plans to further increase the Rengo Group's corrugated packaging business in the Kanto and Tohoku regions by using connections with neighboring plants directly managed by Rengo, and with Rengo Group companies.
