Capital Participation in Yoshikawa Shigyo
Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that it has recently acquired 85.8% of shares issued by Yoshikawa Shigyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Date-gun, Fukushima Prefecture; President: Shunji Ogawa), making it a subsidiary of Rengo (a wholly-owned subsidiary from April 2012) .
Yoshikawa Shigyo, which carries out business mainly in the north part of Fukushima Prefecture, has a long history as a prominent manufacturer of corrugated boxes. Rengo is dispatching executives to Yoshikawa Shigyo and working to strengthen the competitiveness of the company's corrugated business. Rengo is also aiming for the further enhancement of the corrugated packaging business of the Rengo Group in the Tohoku region through collaboration with neighboring Rengo plants and its group companies.
